The Story of Our Creation
It is Frances who brought us all together, like a treasure hunter.
She first meets Elena, also an American expatriate in Paris, and together they found Burlesque Moulin, a burlesque show company, a concept that was still very rare in France at the time.
Then fate puts her on the path of Maddy, who hires her to join her team of video game writers for Pretty Simple Games, and to whom Frances soon declares "One day, I will be the one to hire you!"
Finally, there is Jennifer, a daring event manager met at the big Burning Man gatherings in San Francisco and recently settled in Lyon.
When Frances decides to take flight and start her own immersive experience company, it seems obvious to her that these three incredible women will form the Dream Team that will allow her to reach the heights while creating an empathetic and energizing work environment. Since then, Jennifer has embarked on another adventure, but the Eat the Cake Dream Team is not ready to stop!
The Story of Our Name
Finding a name is often the hardest thing, whether it's for a book, for a song... or for a company! After weeks of hesitation, dithering, brainstorming, we were lost.
It was at that moment that, during one of her entrepreneur meetings, Frances heard a story that touched her heart. A woman shared her last memory of her sister, to whom she had asked, while she was in the hospital at the end of her life, if she had any regrets. She had only one, surprising: not having eaten more cake. A simple thing, apparently trivial, but that meant so much more. Her regret was not having enjoyed the small pleasures of life enough. Imposing imaginary restrictions on herself instead of simply enjoying the present moment, daring to let herself live. "You should always just eat the cake."
We sell immersive experiences, not cakes. But we couldn't bring ourselves to choose another name when this one represents everything we believe in: living fully, enjoying time, the people we love, every new experience. And never, ever forgetting to take a little piece of cake.
